This is a DAC mainly designed for audiophile and studio guys or who need long distance connection by XLR.

The balanced version was designed to be a real balanced structure; i.e. two Pagoda, one in positive sig and one negative.

Total 4 PCM1704 dac chips were used, each chip is independent for right and left as well as positive and negative signals.

In RCA connection, this dac is the same as original Pagoda Dac.

In XLR connection, you get double amplitude signal out.

CS8416 digital input with non-oversampling structure.

This is traditional DAC, cannot decode HDCD signal.

The digital signal accepted is based on the capability of CS8416 digital receiver, which means the max: 192KHz 24bits input Spdif format.

USB input: Up to 96kHz/ 192KHz (*) 24bits then convert to spdif then to CS8416

no over-sampling, no digital filter

Utilize legendary R-2R multi-bits Burr Brown standard PCM1704 (non grade) (24 bits) DAC chip.

No differential phase shift in both channels.

More detailed yet natural and musical sounding.

Metal case, with silk brushing aluminum plates , acrylic front panel.

 1 x AES/EBU, 1 x USB input, 2 x Coaxial input (1 RCA , 1 BNC), 1 x Toslink optic input.

All inputs support 16/24 bits/ 32 kHz up to 192 kHz

USB input in asynchronous operation

Tube buffered output, tube installed 5670

Tubes can be used: 5670, 2C51, 396A, 6385, 6386, 6CC42, 6854, 6N3P,6N26P

6854, CV2575, CV4013, CV5894, CV8247, CV2381

115/230V power supply selectable from internal PCB jump pins setting

Output level: 2.6V (SE),  Output impedance:  32 ohms,

Dimension: 34.6m(L) x 20cm (W), 7.5cm (H)

Weight: 2.8Kg (5.3lb)
